Determining the Initial Configuration of a SWAN
Concentrator
The SUBNETS configured for a TCP/IP process are displayed in the Name field. The
logical interface (LIF) that uses each SUBNET is displayed in the Devicename field. A
LIF is a logical abstraction of a physical port on a LAN adapter. Example 1-6 shows
that LIF L11123A uses SUBNET #SN1 on the TCP/IP process named $ZTC0 and that
LIF L11123B uses SUBNET #SN1 on the TCP/IP process named $ZTC1.
To identify which LIFs are configured for a SWAN concentrator, compare the IP
addresses displayed by the SCF INFO ADAPTER command in the HOSTIP Address
and ALTHOSTIP Address fields (see Example 1-3 on page 1-11) with the IP
addresses displayed in the IPADDRESS field of the SCF INFO SUBNET command.
Then use the SCF INFO LIF command to display the name of the LAN adapter on
which each of the LIF is configured. The command syntax is:
lif-name
is the name of a LIF you identified from the SCF INFO SUBNET command as
shown in Example 1-6.
