Determining the Initial Configuration of a SWAN
Concentrator
Example 1-7 shows SCF INFO LIF commands that display information for LIFs
L11123A and L11123B.
The LAN adapter and port identified by each LIF is displayed in the PIF field. A
physical interface (PIF) corresponds to a physical port on a LAN adapter and has this
form:
adapter-name.sac-unit#.pif-unit-letter
For example, G11123.0.A identifies PIF A on the G4SA named G11123 and
G11123.0.B identifies PIF B on the G4SA named G11123.
Each SWAN concentrator requires six or twelve IP addresses (depending on the type
of concentrator), one for each WAN path. Use the SCF INFO PATH command,
OSM Service Connection, or TSM Service Application to display the IP addresses
associated with each WAN path on your SWAN concentrator. For more information on
using OSM or TSM, see the online help within each application. The SCF command
syntax is:
conc-name
is the name of the SWAN concentrator (ADAPTER object). To display the names of
all the configured SWAN concentrators on your system, use the SCF NAMES
ADAPTER command as shown in Example 1-1 on page 1-10.
