Checking the State of the WAN Subsystem Objects
Checking the State of the Routes
Use the SCF STATUS ROUTE command to determine the state of each preconfigured
route.
The command syntax for G06.26 and earlier RVUs is:
nnn
is the last three characters of the TCP/IP process name for which the route is
configured.
The command syntax for G06.27 and later RVUs and H06.03 and later RVUs is:
nn
is the last two characters of the TCP/IP process name for which the route is
configured.
Checking the State of the WAN Subsystem Objects
Use the SCF STATUS ADAPTER command with the SUB ALL option to determine the
state of each preconfigured ADAPTER object and all of its subordinate objects
(SERVER, PATH, and TASK). The command syntax is:
conc_name
is the name of the SWAN concentrator (ADAPTER object). How to determine the
names of the preconfigured SWAN concentrators is described in Displaying the
Names of Configured SWAN Concentrators on page 1-10.
Troubleshooting Tips
All required processes and objects described in Initial WAN Subsystem Configuration
on page 1-1 should be started during the system load sequence. If you discover that a
process or an object is not in the STARTED state, try to determine the cause of the
problem, then attempt to start the process or object.
These are some general troubleshooting guidelines:
Examine the contents of the event message log. A WAN subsystem event
message or HP NonStop Kernel subsystem event message might have been
issued that provides information about the process failure. Event messages
