Reconfiguring TCP/IP Processes
5. Use the ALTER PATH command to reconfigure the SWAN concentrator IP
address. Provide the applicable CLIP and path information. Example 3-14
reconfigures the IP address associated with path A on CLIP1 on the SWAN
concentrator named $ZZWAN.#S01
6. Use the START SERVER command to start the SERVER object. Provide the
applicable CLIP information.
7. Use the START PATH command to start the PATH object. Provide the applicable
CLIP and path information.
Reconfiguring TCP/IP Processes
If the name of a TCP/IP process changes, or if another preferred or alternate TCP/IP
process is needed, you must reconfigure the ADAPTER object, WANBoot, and TFTP
server PROCESS objects. The SWAN concentrator, WANBoot, and TFTP server
processes must be configured to use the same TCP/IP processes as the E4SA, FESA,
GESA, or G4SA.
To reconfigure a TCP/IP process (for more information, see Reconfiguring TCP/IP
Processes Example on page 3-13):
1. Shut down the WAN lines that are using the SWAN concentrator.
2. Verify that the WANBoot and TFTP server processes are running.
3. Stop the SWAN concentrator.
4. Reconfigure the SWAN concentrator to use the new preferred TCP/IP process.
5. Start the SWAN concentrator.
Example 3-14. Sample ALTER PATH Command (Alter SWAN Concentrator IP
Address)
ALTER PATH $ZZWAN.#S01.1.A, IPADDRESS new_ip_address
Example 3-15. Sample START SERVER Command
START SERVER $ZZWAN.#S01.1
Example 3-16. Sample START PATH Command
START PATH $ZZWAN.#S01.1.A
