2. Obey the Install file ‘INSTWVPA’ (read the following instructions first)
2.1. Set your working volume to $system.zwas (or to $volume.subvolume where you
have transferred the files)
2.2. Issue ‘OBEY INSTWVPA’
Note: Web ViewPoint ASAP Version 1 generates a limited set of EMS events
under SubSystem ID ZWSATMPL (SSID#278).
Requiring your input, this performs the following:
a. Sets the file codes
b. Sets the security of all the files to 'NUNU'
c. Creates the data file, DISPCONF in the Web ViewPoint ASAP subvolume, with
security ‘NNUU’. This file stores information about the different nodes in an
environment, their entities, corresponding attributes and their
ranks, if any.
d. Starts the INSWASAP program. This program requests the following from the
user and updates the Web ViewPoint configuration to add Web ViewPoint
ASAP as a plugin:
d.1. Web ViewPoint Location: This is the location ($volume.subvolume) where
Web ViewPoint is installed.
d.2. Port number to use for running WASAP functions: This is an unused TCP
port number needed for running WASAP.
d.3. Name of the Terminal Manager Process: This is the process name of the
Terminal Manager Program (TERMMAN). This process will be started
alongside Web ViewPoint ASAP and will be a part of STRTWVP. It will be
the central process for WASAP functioning, starting up the State
Propagation Monitors and SSGs and propagating data from these to the
web browser.
d.4. Environment(s): This includes the ASAP environment location
($volume.subvolume) identifying the database to collect information
from and a unique name given to this environment. Web ViewPoint ASAP
allows you to enter upto 20 environments.
