generate alerts based on threshold criteria that can provide an early warning system for changes in system or
application behavior that may not be apparent with normal monitoring techniques. Coupled with existing Web
ViewPoint functions and features, The Event Analyzer provides a powerful tool to leverage low-level EMS event
details into a higher-level and more useful knowledge base to save time and improve system availability.
 GUI and Admin: Provides a browser-based GUI for all user and admin functions
 Application Grouping:Allows the user to define application groups using any combination of Owner and/or
Subsystem name. Groups can be selected for trending and reporting.
 Events Tracking: Tracks counts for Total, Critical and Action events. Critical and Action track the Average,
Minimum, and Maximum time taken to acknowledge or take action.
 History, Trends and Drilldown: Events summaries are stored by Hour, Day and Month and presented in a grid
format for easy selection to perform analysis, trending and reporting. If Event Detail is online then user can
drilldown to see actual event detail.immediate unattended action.
 Alert Notifications: Supports the definition and configuration of particular threshold values that will trigger
specific EMS events for Web ViewPoint alert notifications. Alerts can be used as early warning on changes in
system behavior or just exceeding comfort zone limits.
PATHWAY PLUG-IN:
This plug-in is suited for NonStop users who use hp’s Pathway subsystem. In addition to point-and-click interface to
monitor and manage Pathway applications, an automated operator can watch for conditions you specify and take
optional actions per your instructions. The main features of this plug-in are:
 Reduced management time due to smart commands.
 Near elimination of errors associated with operator command entries.
 Secured and auditable environment.
 Automated operator features watch for pre-specified conditions and take immediate unattended action.
 Integration within the Web ViewPoint platform.
STORAGE ANALYZER PLUG-IN:
The HP NonStop Storage Analyzer is an optional plug-in component to Web ViewPoint, used to track, analyze, and
manage disk and file storage resources and activity. Provides customizable alert settings, including selection of
severity levels, for conditions you want to know about. Notification can be via email, SMS, or message forwarding
to Enterprise Management products (e.g. HP Open View). It identifies areas which may require attention, such as:
 Disk and file capacity
 Disk and file fragmentation
 Corrupted, or unused/old Files
 File security, size, and ownership audit
 Trending and projection on most disk and file metrics
 Virtual to physical storage relationship management and monitoring

COMFORTE SECURITY-PACK PLUG-IN FOR WEB VIEWPOINT:
This plug-in is suited for NonStop users who wish to incorporate SSL level security for all their communication
through Web ViewPoint, as well as have an integrated and fully secured ftp tool and 6530 Terminal Emulator.
ComForte has created a package of its three popular products to run under Web ViewPoint
 SecurCS: SSL security platform/proxy.
