TACL service name:TACL service name for the specified server. Default value is TACL
Current installation:Name of the $volume.subvol where the current installation resides. This is the $volume.subvol
from which four required configuration files will be downloaded. Volume name starts with '$' and total length is 8.
$volume.subvol name can be at most 8 characters long. Examples $GUEST.SUBVOLS, $SYSTEM.WVP8500 etc
New installation: Target $volume.subvol where the new Web ViewPoint will be installed. Current installation
$volume.subvol and new installation $volume.subvol can either be the same or different. Starting with the ABI
release onward the user will be able to upgrade to the new version in the same $volume.subvol
Example: Current installation: $GUEST.SUBVOLS
  New installation: $GUEST.SUBVOLS
If you have entered the same $volume.subvol in the Current installation & New Installation then in the next step
you will have to specify the backup $volume.subvolume.
There is a check-box at the bottom. If checked, configuration files, as well as data files will also be imported from
the previous installation
Once 'Next' is clicked, the following system-check will be made before going to the file transfer page to
download configuration files:
Can the Wizard open a Telnet session? If not, you may receive error message regarding bad user-
name/password, or bad telnet port, or bad TACL service name
Once the telnet session is open, Wizard will try to determine server series. If the server series is not
appropriate for current installation, an error message will be shown
Can the Wizard find any kind of Web ViewPoint installation in the specified $volume.subvolume?
If the Wizard finds an installation of Web ViewPoint, it will determine its version and whether this version is
an evaluation version or not
The Wizard will check $volume.subvolume names of current and new installations
If the names are same then the Wizard will ask to specify a backup $volume.subvol where it copies all the
old configuration files &then prompts a message that an older version is already installed in the
$volume.subvol you specified and you will be asked if you want to overwrite or skip the command. If you
wish to overwrite then it overwrites the older version with the new version
If the $volume.subvolume names are different, then the Wizard will proceed to the next step
Any error occurring during the telnet session will be shown, and you will be asked if you want to retry the
command or skip it
Non-responsive telnet session will be reported as session timeout
Any of the above errors will prevent you from going to the actual download page. You may try different import
settings or try multiple times. If successful, download page will be shown and four configuration files will be
downloaded in Windows temporary directory.
Once the configuration files are downloaded successfully, Wizard will follow the same installation path as in the
case of First Time Installation except that the pages will be populated with imported values.
