  PARAM IM-REFRESH [YES|NO]      [WVPCONF] 
This enables/disables the WEBVPT5 instant messaging feature. In the default configuration of Web ViewPoint, 
this param is present and defaults to NO. 
  PARAM IM-REFRESH-INTERVAL interval            [WVPCONF] 
This tells the WEBVPT5 shell the rate at which it should query the server for new message information. 
Intervalis specified in seconds. In the default configuration of Web ViewPoint, this param is present and 
defaults to 60000 seconds. This param is ignored if IM-REFRESH is set to NO. 
  PARAM IM-LOCATION <$volume.subvolume>      [WVPCONF] 
This tells the WEBVPT5 shell the location of the IM installation (IM database files and Subscription and 
Messaging Manager processes). In the default configuration of Web ViewPoint, this param is absent and the 
IM-LOCATION defaults to Web ViewPoint $volume.subvolume. 
  PARAM BAM-LOCATION <$volume.subvolume >          [WVPCONF] 
This tells the WEBVPT5 Events function the location of the BAM database files from where it can retrieve 
event information from while showing EMS messages. Default location is WEBVPT5 $volume.subvolume. 
  PARAM WFDISTPRI <nnn>      [WVPCONF] 
WEBVPT5 Events function starts a process of FDIST. This value specifies the priority to start this process at. The 
default priority is WEBVPT5 process priority. 
  PARAM WLOGCOLL <$proc>      [WVPCONF] 
This tells the WEBVPT5 Events function the  process name with which to start the alternate collector that is 
needed to save events. The default alternate collector is $ALOG. 
  PARAM HIDEACKS [YES|NO][LIVEONLY]      [WVPCONF] 
This tells the WEBVPT5 Live and Query displays whether to hide acknowledged events or whether to show 
them as acknowledged. The LIVEONLY hides only Live Events that are ACK’d or acknowledged.  
  PARAM SAVEEVENTS [YES|NO]      [WVPCONF] 
This tells the WEBVPT5 Live and Query displays whether to show the “Save Events to Log” check box on the 
settings screens. If SAVEEVENTS is NO, the “Save Events to Log” feature is disabled and the check box does not 
appear. The default value is NO. 
  PARAM EVENTCX-LOCATION <$volume.subvolume >      [WVPCONF] 
This tells the WEBVPT5 Live and Query displays, the location of the Event Configuration file that contains the 
color mappings for different event types and pass-values. (Note: This param takes effect only if BAM-
LOCATION is specified). 
  PARAM VHSENV_X <prompt file location>      [WVPCONF] 
These tell the WEBVPT5 VHS log and prompt browsers which VHS environments are to be considered for 
viewing VHS messages. ‘X’ is the environment name caption that is displayed in the log and prompt browser 
settings menu while the prompt file location gives the location of the prompt file that defines environment X. 
Example: 
  PARAM VHSENV_VHS $SYSTEM.VHS.PROMPT 
  PARAM VHSENV_VTOS $SYSTEM.VTOS.PROMPT 
  By specifying these two PARAMs, you will be able to see log messages and issue replies to VHS and VTOS 
environments. 
  PARAM ENFORCE-SECURITY [YES|NO]      [WVPCONF] 
This tells the WEBVPT5 shell whether to implement the control of functions made available to Web ViewPoint 
users as specified in the access control lists by the administrator in SECUREDB. The default value is NO.
