CHAPTER 3: ADMINISTRATION 
3.1 OVERVIEW 
This feature provides access to the Administrative functions of Web  ViewPoint. Through the menu items of the 
Admin tab, the Administrator can setup user accounts and set various administrative controls.

3.2 FEATURES 
3.2.1  ACCESS CONTROL 
ACCESS CONTROL AUTHORIZATIONS: 
This feature enables the System Administrator to limit the functionality of Web ViewPoint features by configuring 
access per user/ alias/ group. To use this feature, System Administrator can go to the user port and select Admin-
>Access Control.  
The main screen by default displays all the existing authorizations for all the users. 
There are various filtering options available on this page, 
1.  You can filter by selecting a particular 
group.user: for a specific user 
group.* - will list the authorization of all the users belonging to the group 
*.*- will display all the authorizations. 
group specified *.user - will list the authorization of the specified user across all groups 
2.  Alias - This will allow filtering based on the specified Alias name 
3.  Based on Functionality: you can select a particular menu item e.g. Performance will list all the users that 
have access to the performance tab. 
The various menu items available by default are Performance, Events, Operations, Admin and 
Management. 
The System Administrator can add setup for either: 
UserName (Group.User)
