Through this popup you can add an Event for any Owner’s existing Subsystem. If an Owner does not have a
Subsystem then you will be warned about it and Save, Save & New buttons will be disabled since you cannot add
an event for those Owners.
If you wish to delete an Event, click the delete icon next to the event that you wish to delete.
Note: Though the BAM event details, cause, effect and recovery fields are supposed to contains informational
text, you can also provide html in these fields.
For example, the recovery field can contain:

When the information is displayed on the browser on the event information screen, the HTML is rendered properly
and you will be able to see the URL and can click on it.Thus, such a feature can be used to provide URLs and a
limited level of HTML customization in BAM Event Cause, Effect, Recovery or Detail. All partial links are resolved to
WVP home port/directory.
Hence, for correct operation, when links are specified in BAM/ERDB, they must be fully qualified. A side effect of
providing this HTML support is that valid text such as ‘<abcd>’ will not appear properly in the event information
screen. For such cases, include a space after the ‘<’ character for example ‘<abcde>’ and the text will appear
properly.
Editing Event Detail:
To edit the event details, click on the Edit button next to the Event Detail Information column header. This will
make the Cause, Effect, Recovery and Details fields writable and you can edit the information in those fields. Click
Save and the information will be updated. Click on Reset to restore the old values. If you click Cancel, the fields will
remain unaffected and will become read-only again.
