3.2.4 MC SYSTEM SETTINGS
This feature provides an interface to configure and maintain the various settings for the Message Center
components and options on the NonStop server.
It provides the users an interface to configure message delivery options and parameters. The IP Address and Port
information of the Desktop Component of Message Center can be configured. The message delivery options that
are provided to the user in the Events -> Subscribe section can be controlled through this section. The Message
Center component can also be enabled / disabled. Details on how to configure Message center subsystem &
instant messaging is discussed below.
An optional method for sending out notifications using the PC Component is also provided. When these optional
parameters are configured the message center on the server sends out notifications to its counterpart component
on the desktop. Notifications delivered as Emails, SMS and Speaker are sent out from the server component, to the
desktop component which relays the notifications to various delivery agents. Please see
Section 5.7.1 for details on
how to configure the PC component.
Note: For speaker notifications, the use of
Section 5.7.1 is required.
