Overview
The following steps give a high-level overview of installing the BEA WebLogic Server
(WebLogic Server) and the HP NonStop Server Toolkit for BEA WebLogic Server 7.0
SP1:
1. Install prerequisite software from HP for the NonStop server; for example, HP
NonStop™ Server for Java™.
2. Obtain BEA WebLogic Server 7.0 SP1 and the HP NonStop Server Toolkit for BEA
WebLogic Server, and copy their files to your HP NonStop server.
3. Install BEA WebLogic Server 7.0 SP1.
4. Install the HP NonStop Server Toolkit for BEA WebLogic Server 7.0 SP1. This step
includes rebuilding the JVM file (Java) to include the XA resource manager.
Install Prerequisite Software on the HP
NonStop Server
1. Check that the prerequisite software is installed and running on your NonStop
server. For the exact versions of the prerequisites, see the release notes or
Readme files that accompany this software.
2. OSS is essential for the WebLogic Server. You might consider using the OSS
Automatic Startup Service to ensure that OSS is always up and running on your
system.
