4: ZX25-EVT-DEV-ERROR
ZEMS-TKN-LDEV
is the logical device number of the X25AM line that is the subject of this event
message. It corresponds to the value ldev in the text message. This token is
described in the EMS Manual.
ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS
contains the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE, indicating that this event is a critical event.
This token is described in the EMS Manual.
ZEMS-TKN-CONSOLE-PRINT
contains the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE. This token is described in the EMS Manual.
(ZEMS-TKN-) CPU, CRTPID, GENTIME, LOGTIME, PIN, SYSTEM, and USERID
are standard EMS tokens described in the EMS Manual.
ZEMS-TKN-CU
is a standard EMS token that contains the controller and unit number. It
corresponds to the value ccu in the text message. This token is present only when
the event reports a possible HP hardware error and the device physical address is
an old subchannel type.
ZEMS-MAP-EXIOADDR
is a standard EMS token described in the EMS Manual.
In the message text, ldev corresponds to the value of ZEMS-TKN-LDEV and ccu
corresponds to the value of ZEMS-TKN-CU. The values dev-status, param1,
param2, and param3 do not correspond to the values of tokens in the event
message.
Cause. An error occurred on the indicated line.
Effect. The system attempts another retry. If the problem persists, another path or
processor is tried. If another path or processor is not available, the system brings down
the line.
The value dev-status in the text message indicates device-status information. For
data communications lines, this information is the status word returned by the
controller, in the format described below.
For the asynchronous controller, the bits of the status word that are equal to 1 can be
interpreted as follows:
Bit Meaning
. 4 Reverse channel sensed
. 5 Clear to send sensed
. 6 Carrier detect sensed
