If modem loss was detected, bits 8 through 15 of the status word indicate modem
status as follows:
If no modem loss was detected, bits 8 through 15 of the status word have the following
meanings:
The value param1 in the message text contains a mask that designates which bits of
dev-status are allowed to be equal to 1.
Recovery. If the information given by the values dev-status and param1 in the
message text indicates a problem with HP hardware, contact your HP representative.
