Event Numbers
a subdevice name is always qualified by the name of its line; that is, preceded by the
name of its line and a period (.). An example of a valid subdevice name is
"$LN01.#ITI5".
There is no object name associated with the null object type. Some X25AM commands
accept multiple object names. In addition, some X25AM commands accept or even
require the subordinate-modifier token, ZCOM-TKN-SUB.
Object-name templates are not supported at the subdevice level. The SCP kernel
supports object-name templates.
In responses to X25AM commands that operate on objects, a response record always
contains response information for the operation of the command on a single object.
The name for a process is the same as the line name.
Event Numbers
Event numbers for event messages issued by the X25AM subsystem are represented
by symbolic names of the form ZX25-EVT- name, where name identifies the event.
X25AM event numbers and their associated event messages are described in
Section 7, Event Management
Subjects of Event Messages
The subject token (the token that immediately follows the subject-mark token) in all
X25AM event messages is a logical-device-name token that contains the 32-byte
internal file name of the logical device that is the subject of the event message.
Other Tokens
In addition to the tokens already described, the X25AM subsystem uses other tokens
as command parameters, results in responses, and elements of event messages.
Simple Tokens
Simple tokens--tokens whose values are single fields or fixed structures--are identified
by token codes. The token codes for the simple tokens used by the X25AM subsystem
are represented by symbolic names of the form subsys-TKN- name, where subsys is a
four-character subsystem abbreviation and name identifies the token code. For
example, the token code ZEMS-TKN-LDEV identifies a simple token that contains a
logical device number.
A table of all the token codes defined by the X25AM subsystem (token codes with
names of the form ZX25-TKN- name) can be found in Section B, Token Codes and
Token Maps.
