Appendix D: XAC Interactive Commands
XYPRO Technology Corporation 240 Proprietary and Confidential
D13: <<STOP
This command is used to stop an executing XYGATEAC process. This is the primary
way to stop an entire XAC session. At an XAC-initiated TACL prompt, this will cause
the XYGATEAC process to stop everything that it has started (TACL included but
except for programs on the DONOTSTOP list) and then stop itself. In this case, the
XYGATEAC process will stop the TACL even if NULLNULLSTOP is NOT set in the
ACACL Command Entry.
Example:
$VIK IK 1> #PROCESSINFO /PROCESSID, PROGRAMFILE/
#PROCESSINFO /PROCESSID, PROGRAMFILE/ expanded to:
$Z0M0 $SYSTEM.SYS45.TACL
$VIK IK 2>
$VIK IK 2> xac TACL-255
$VIK IK 1> #PROCESSINFO /PROCESSID, PROGRAMFILE/
XYGATEAC 5.75 XYPRO \N1 20991231 (see <<CONFIG for Copyright)
#PROCESSINFO /PROCESSID, PROGRAMFILE/ expanded to:
$Z0M3 $SYSTEM.SYS45.TACL
$VIK IK 2> #XPPD [#PROCESSINFO /PROCESSID/]
Name Primary Backup Ancestor
$Z0M3 0,485 $Z0M2
$VIK IK 3> <<STOP
XAC - Open left for \N1.$Z0M2:585007041 0001 #IN \N1.$VIK.XAC575.XYGATEAC
XAC - Open left for \N1.$Z0M2:585007041 0002 #IN \N1.$VIK.XAC575.XYGATEAC
XAC - Stopped process \N1.$Z0M0:585006529 \N1.$SYSTEM.SYS45.TACL
XAC - Stopped process \N1.$Z0M2:585007041 \N1.$VIK.XAC575.XYGATEAC
In the Example above, the user has a normal TACL session logged in as the user’s
userid. XAC is used to start a TACL executing as TACL-255. At the end of the session,
instead of logging off, the user uses <<STOP to terminate the session. All programs
started that are not on the DONOTSTOP list are terminated, the TACL itself is
terminated and control returns to the original TACL.
