Appendix G:  XAC Error Messages 
The XAC module displays two types of errors. The first type are parsing errors encountered 
when the XAC DBSO program is attempting to read entries from the ACACL file. The second 
type are execution errors when the XAC process executes the entry. The following table 
describes these errors:  
Error Message  Description 
##### closing stdio  An error occurred closing the stdio routines. Please call XYPRO Technology 
for assistance. 
Audit file <filename1> renamed 
<filename2> and recreated. 
This message is for your information only. 
The audit file specified by <filename1> was renamed to <filename2> and 
then a new, empty file with the name <filename1> was created, thus 
completing the ‘rollover’ of XYGATEAC audit files. 
Cannot initialize Fileio  An error occurred using the fileio routines. Please call XYPRO Technology 
for assistance. 
Error #### creating audit file 
<filename> 
The previous audit file has been renamed and XYGATEAC attempted to 
create a new empty file. The attempt to create the new file failed for with the 
specified error. 
Error #### on audit file <filename>, 
retrying 
The specified error occurred on the audit file named and the write to the audit 
file will be retried. 
Error #### opening home terminal  This error message is written to $0 when the home terminal for DBSO 
cannot be opened 
Error #### opening in file  This error message is written to the home terminal for DBSO. The IN file for 
the DBSO process cannot be opened. 
Error #### opening out file  This error message is written to the home terminal for DBSO. The OUT file 
for the DBSO process cannot be opened. 
Error #### renaming audit file  The current audit file is being renamed in order to create a new, empty file. 
The attempt to rename this current file failed for the reason specified. 
Error ##### opening obey file 
<filename> 
The file to be obeyed could not be opened because the specified error 
occurred. 
History display request error  You requested a display of history elements that could not accommodated 
because commands that old have been dropped from the history list.  
Log file <filename> opened  This message is to inform you that the file you specified in the >LOG 
command has been opened and all i/o is being logged to that file. 
No such line  The number or string you specified as the argument to the FC command 
could not be found. 
No syntax errors found  This message is printed when no errors have occurred after DBSO has 
finished processing all information in the ACCONF and ACACL files 
checking for syntax. 
Syntax errors found  This message is printed if errors have been found after DBSO has finished 
checking for syntax in the ACCONF and ACACL files.
