Appendix G: XAC Error Messages

Error Message Description
XAC – ALIAS table data overflow,
ignoring excess data.
This error can be caused by several conditions:
1) The argument to the FILE keyword is not a legal filename.
2) The argument to the OBEY keyword is not a legal filename.
3) The argument to the BANNER_CONNECT or BANNER_FIRSTIO
keyword is not a legal filename.
4) FCPROMPT requires a quoted string as an argument.
5) The argument to the OBJECT keyword must be a valid filename.
6) The argument to the TIMEOUT keyword must be a non-negative integer
value. It is measured in seconds.
7) The argument to the AUDIT_OUTPUT_COUNT keyword must be a
number between 1 and 65535.
8) The numeric argument specified for the WAIT interval on the
CHECKCONNECTION keyword must be a number between 1 and
65535.
9) The numeric argument specified for the CHECK interval on the
CHECKCONNECTION keyword must be a number between 1 and
65535.
10) Two arguments are required for the CHECKCONNECTION keyword –
the CHECK interval and the WAIT interval.
11) The argument to the PASSWORDTIMEOUT keyword must be a
number between 0 and 65535. It is measured in seconds.
12) The argument to the MULTIPLECOMMANDSEP keyword must be a
character that serves as the command separator.
13) The argument to the FILE_SECURITY keyword must be a valid four-
character security vector.
14) The argument to the STARTUP keyword must be a quoted string.
15) Three arguments are required for the DEVICEINFO_REPLY keyword –
the DEVICE TYPE, the DEVICE SUBTYPE and the RECORD
LENGTH.
16) The token specified cannot be interpreted.
XAC – ALIAS table overflow, ignoring
excess entries.
A maximum of 1,000 bytes of data are permitted as arguments to the ALIAS
keyword in any single ACACL Command entry.
XAC – Allow/Deny table data
overflow, ignoring excess data.
A maximum of 20 ALIAS statements can be in any single ACACL Command
entry.
XAC - Allow/Deny table overflow,
ignoring excess entries
A maximum of 10,000 bytes of data are permitted as arguments to the
ALLOWCMD and DENYCMD keywords in any single ACACL Command
entry.
XAC - Cannot initialize stdio - ##### A maximum of 40 ALLOWCMD and DENYCMD entries can be in any single
ACACL Command entry.
XAC – Closing current log file The stdio routines cannot be initialized. Please call XYPRO Technology for
assistance.
This error will be written to the home terminal if possible and to the console if
the RESTART keyword has been set on the command.
XAC – CMON rejected run - <CMON
reply>
The log file that was opened using >LOG is being closed.
XAC – Command > 32 characters The $CMON process did not permit the object that XYGATEAC attempted to
start to execute for the reasons stated in <CMON reply>
