1.5 Managing the XYGATE License
This section describes the steps for checking and updating the XYGATE license file.
1.5.1 Checking the Status of the Current License
XYGATE modules are “licensed” for a specific amount of time. The date on which the
license expires is displayed on the XYGATE banner, right after the node name as
shown below:
Example:
2> XAC FUP-255 INFO $SYSTEM.XYGATEQA.AUDIT*
XYGATEAC 5.75 Bank of Cochran St \XYSDEV 20991231 (see <<CONFIG for Copyright)
CODE EOF LAST MODIF OWNER RWEP TYPE REC BL
$SYSTEM.XYGATEQA
 AUDIT 3333 9830400 6Sep2013 08:55 -1 NUUU E 4000 4
3>
In the above example, the license has been issued to the Bank of Cochran St, the
machine that is licensed is \XYSDEV, and the license expires on December 31, 2099
(shown as 20991231).
When there are less than 30 days remaining before the license renewal date for XAC,
the number of days left on the license will be displayed at the end of the copyright
banner that XAC displays when it is invoked.
Example:
15> xac fup-255 info $system.xygateqa.audit*
XYGATEAC 5.75 Bank of Cochran St \XYSDEV 20130901 (1 Days Left) (see <<CONFIG for
Copyright)
CODE EOF LAST MODIF OWNER RWEP TYPE REC BL
$SYSTEM.XYGATEQA
 AUDIT 3333 9830400 6Sep2013 08:55 -1 NUUU E 4000 4
16>
In the above example, the system date is 31 August 2013. Because the license
expires on 01 September 2013 (shown as 20130901), there is only one day left, shown
in the banner as (1 Days Left).
