Chapter 6. EMS Message Format
Templates
A template is supplied on the installation subvolume to allow the audit lines written to
EMS to be tokenized and organized as desired by the customer. Three files are
supplied at installation to allow this customization. The three files are:
EMSBUILD A macro to build the template file based on the system templates
and the EMSTEMP file.
EMSDDL A DDL layout for the EMS message.
EMSTEMP The TEMPLATE layout for the XYGATEAC messages.
6.1 Procedure
To build a template file that can be used with an EMS distributor such as EMSA, run
the EMSBUILD macro as follows:
Example:
1> VOLUME $SYSTEM.XYGATEAC
2> RUN EMSBUILD
You will be asked a series of questions about the installation
of the XYGATEAC EMS template. You may abort this process at any prompt
by hitting the BREAK key.
Prompts that end with a string within angle brackets mean
that just hitting the return key will use the default value.
Which volume do you want the XYGATEAC EMS templates installed on
