Chapter 4. Common Screen Functions
XYPRO Technology Corporation 88 Proprietary and Confidential
When you are reverted to an archived environment, the Service Process may still be
active, and if so, will process to the original “current working environment” as is
reflected in the registry of your PC.
Working in a reverted environment is limited to query-only type functions. Each
archived environment was created at the time of a completed collection. The
environment is named by the same timestamp as the collection, thus making it fairly
easy to identify the collection.
Archived database environments are saved in the archive location with a naming
convention of:
Example of Archive Location:
D:\Export Loc
Example of Archive Database Hierarchy for Collection BP_20081222_1645:
D:\Export Loc\XYGATESW_20081222_1645
\XSW_cfg
   \XSW_databp
   \XSW_data
The archived database environment only saves the current collection under the
XSW_data folder. This minimizes the amount of space the archiving will require.
Archived database environments are automatically created by the loader when it has
completed loading and updating the databases for this collection. These archived
databases are not automatically removed by XSW. You must manually remove the
database when you may no longer need them.
Resetting to the Current Working Environment
If you have reverted to an archived set database environment, you can return your GUI
to the “current working environment” by either stopping and restarting the GUI or by
clicking Reset on the Database Configurations form taken from the Tools menu. The
Reset feature is only available if you are in the Revert-mode.
