Chapter 5. Collection Specifications

Specify the File Entities to be collected.
If you select Guardian Files, you must also select whether or not VPROC
information for the object files will be collected (Y or N).
Note: Collecting VPROC information requires that the userid that owns the XSW
software have READ access to program files on the system. If READ access
is not available, the VPROC information will be skipped on a file-by-file-
basis. If XOS is used on this system, this security may be accomplished with
the following OSACL entry near the top of the file:

All OSS Files attribute data is collected when selected.
Select any or all for the following Misc Entities:
• Pathways – various assigns, defines, program, servers and associated file
attributes are collected.
• Processes – various attributes of Guardian and/or OSS Processes are
collected.
• Safeguard – various Safeguard attributes such as Globals, SEEPs ACLs, etc.,
are collected.
• Networks – various network attributes such as TCP ports, addresses, protocols
and services are collected.
• SCF Persistence Manager – The Subsystem Control Facility allows the user to
gather various data for many different nonstop subsystems. Note, that at this
time, only the Kernel subsystem is collected.
From the Node and Guardian File Selections tree, check the node names to be
collected. This list of nodes is based on the nodes defined in the SWACL file
(Appendix B: starting on page 237) on the host connection NonStop server. By
default, nodes are automatically included. Uncheck nodes that you do not want to
be collected.
Optionally (if Guardian Files entity is checked in item 4 above), select the desired
Volumes for which DSAP data will be collected. Check the disks to be collected for
