To remove an individual file or files no longer to be monitored for hashing:
1. Select a row or multiple rows by clicking in the row indicator shown on page 100.
(Refer also to section 4.1, “The Grid Views” on page 61.)
2. Click the UnCheck button.
3. Clear the check box by mouse click to deselect that individual file.
To send the resultant highlighted rows to an export management screen, click
Send To. This allows you to format the highlighted rows for a variety of output styles,
such as Microsoft Excel.
To select (or unselect) all the rows on the grid:
Clicking Select All selects (highlights) all the rows on the grid; clicking UnSelect All
clears all the selections. Neither button changes the checked state of the rows.
The Save button will save the tree and grid choices to be associated with the specified
Collection Name (item 1 on page 95). The user will be given the option to exit the
Select Collection Files form or to leave the form active to continue further selections.
5.4 Managing Batch Collections
The XSW host software can run independently of the GUI. Collections can be
scheduled to run at non-peak hours using NetBatch, MultiBatch or any other
scheduling application. NetBatch is the only automated batch scheduler that the GUI
can manage directly. Other schedulers would have to be managed manually.
Batch functions are enabled and configured in the SWCONF configuration file.
(Refer to Appendix A:The SWCONF File” starting on page 227.)
Batch collections are initiated from the GUI using the Run-time Options tab (item 8 on
page 97). This can be set up initially or you can convert an immediate collection to a
batch collection simply by adding the batch parameters and re-saving the criteria.
