Chapter 5. Collection Specifications

errors are significant. Certain errors may not affect the use of or validity of the entire
collection.
A Collection displaying a white X signifies a pending load completion that is not yet
available for query, and normally is not an error.
Even though the collection shows as having some errors, you should review the
summary to determine if those errors are significant. Certain errors may not affect the
use of or validity of the entire collection.
5.9.1 View Dataset Properties
The status of the collection dataset that you just downloaded or any previous datasets,
can be displayed by right-clicking the dataset name and selecting Properties. The
bottom field of the Properties display shows the status of the dataset.
5.9.2 View Load Summary
By right-clicking on the dataset name and selecting View Load Summary, you can
display a table showing the status of the various components of the collection dataset.
The xswLoader performs both the download and load of the raw collection data, but
also the evaluation of policy. Each policy, integrity, best practice and product upgrade
will receive a summary record.
Note: The loader attempts to maintain the integrity of the policies. If an error is
encountered in downloading an entity, such as Pathways, then no policies
pertaining to Pathways are updated. This insures that policies are not incorrectly
updated.
In the case of a collection that displays a red-X, use the summary to pinpoint the
error(s). In many cases the problem may not negate the entire collection and may be
an error.
