5.9.3 Loading Errors
Loading errors can occur for many reasons. For example, the collection file on the host
had an error, the connection to the host can be broken during the loading processing,
the files from the host have been removed are unavailable, or an error can occur on
the PC processing of the downloaded files.
A collection load can be restarted if the collect files are still on the host node. The GUI
status window will allow the Start Load button to be re-executed if the load can be
restarted.
If an error was detected on the host and the collection is loaded, that error will be
reflected in the collection status and the entity piece skipped for loading.
The loader program will attempt to load all pieces of the collection, marking errors and
continuing to completion. Certain network errors can cause the loader program to
abort if the databases are remote to Loader program.
The loader program has been designed to handle the many variations of HP data
operating system changes and in component configuration changes. You must be
running the most recent loader program to obtain any new HP configuration changes,
such as a new Safeguard Global. In most cases, the collection will not receive an
error, but the new keyword would be omitted.
