XSW consists of a server on each one of your NonStop hosts, a client on your PC and 
several ACCESS databases of information that can be stored in the same or different 
locations on your PC or on a network server. 
Note: Always keep in mind when setting up XSW remote locations, whether a user is 
connecting or the Service Process is connecting, it is essential that Remote 
users have Read and Write access to the Database or you will generate access 
problems. See your PC’s Help and Support Guide to enable proper 
configuration. 
The following illustration shows the relationship among the components of XSW. 
The host-based software consists of XSW to collect the data and XTR to perform the 
data transport between the XSW GUI and the XSW host. 
The PC side of the construct contains several portions: the executing GUI that allows 
the users to investigate the data, the ACCESS tables containing the data that has 
been collected from the host and the rules that have been used, the LOADER 
executable program, and an optional process that downloads the data automatically (a 
Service Process, not shown in this graphic). 
The GUI is a series of screens that allow the definition of the data to be collected, and 
the display of all the various queries against the data. This GUI is installed on every
