Chapter 7. System Policy Analyzer

Recent Results – The entries displayed on this tab are entries that have been added
to results because of conditions found in the most recent host data collection that was
analyzed. The data on this tab will also be found on one of the other tabs, whichever is
appropriate to how the data changed from the previous collection to the current
collection.
Failed Results – The entries displayed on this tab are items that violate the Security
Policy and are waiting for disposition. Entries will remain in this window until they are
Excluded or the application of subsequent collections indicates that the item no longer
violates the policy and they are moved to the Resolved log.
Policy Exclusions – This is a list of entries that are permitted to violate the Security
Policy.
Resolved Log – This is a list of entries that no longer violate the Security Policy or
have been removed from the Policy Exclusions list. If you have specified that resolved
items should auto-delete, this list will always display only the records that have been
resolved in this iteration of policy update; all older resolved items will have been
eliminated.
Log Entries – This is a list of the notes that have been generated by processing of the
underlying query to this policy and the notes that have been entered by the XSW user.
