Chapter 8. Best Practice Policy

8.9.3 Target Node Selection

This section describes how to copy Best Practice (BP) or Custom Best Practice (CP)

rules to a Target node.

Select a Target Node Name from the drop-down list, which shows all XSW-

connected nodes except the Source node and \XSWDEMO node.

Select an Override options checkbox.

• If Override Enabled/Disabled is selected, the existing BP and CP rules on the

Target node will be overwritten even if the Enabled/Disabled flag is different.

• If Override User Defined is selected, the existing BP and CP User Defined

values for a rule on the Target node will be overwritten.

• If no Override options are selected, the Resolution screen will appear as shown

in section 8.9.5 on page 167.

Click Apply or Cancel.

• Apply initiates the copy process so that the selected BP and CP rules will be

copied to the Target node.

• Cancel quits the copy process, and returns you to the Best Practice Rule

Builder screen shown in section 8.9.2 on page 164.
