Chapter 9. System Integrity Checks
The System Integrity Check investigates Guardian subvolumes, Guardian files, logon
access, Pathways, Safeguard configurations, Spooler configurations, NetBatch
configurations, TMF configurations and OSS configurations for consistency for each
individual NonStop host node. The current information from the collection is checked
against the baseline. If a difference is found, the integrity check fails.
9.1 Loading Integrity Checks
Selecting the Integrity Checks checkbox on the Advanced Loading Selections tab
causes Integrity Checks to be automatically loaded for any checks that are setup. (See
item 16 on page 98 in Chapter 5, “Collection Specifications.”)
Integrity Checks are not directly related to a specific collection, but are related to the
data they require. For instance, if the Integrity Check is Safeguard Globals for
\NODEA, then Safeguard is collected for \NODEA, and then the Integrity Check will be
evaluated.
9.2 Initial Integrity Checks
When the XSW module is used to step through the first XSW collection, basic integrity
checks are loaded.
The first check looks at the $SYSTEM.SYSnn and $SYSTEM.CSSnn subvolumes for
the current system image and standard system components. Any initial check will be
considered a baseline and the treeview ruler will be green. Only subsequent
collections and updates will begin to show discrepancies.
