9.8 Creating an Integrity Check

To create an Integrity Check for your NonStop host node, expand System Integrity

Checks, right-click on the NonStop host node name where you want to create the

check, and select System Integrity Rule Builder (see section 2.1, pages 30 and 31).

Note: The System Integrity Rule Builder screen format is different depending upon the

Check Entity selected in the “Available Integrity Checks” table on page 170.

Hashing allows you to create, manage, and apply a list of Guardian Files and OSS

Files to be hashed. This provides a way to determine whether or not sensitive files

have been modified. The hashing value becomes another file attribute used for the

integrity checks of Guardian and OSS files. If a difference is found, the integrity check

fails.

Note: Modify the collection criteria to specify files for which the hashing values will be

collected.

The System Integrity Rule Builder screen will appear as shown below.
