Chapter 10. XYGATE Products
Configuration
The XYGATE Products Configuration section of XSW checks the consistency of your
XYGATE security software installation across collection datasets. This assurance lets
you know that your ACL and CONF files have remained the same over time, or brings
to your attention the information that changes have been made and what the changes
are if any.
10.1 Loading XYGATE Product Configurations
Selecting the XYGATE Product Configuration Files checkbox on the Advanced
Loading Selections tab causes XYGATE product information to be loaded
automatically for any XYGATE products found on the host. (See item 13 on page 98 in
Chapter 5, “Collection Specifications.”)
When the xswLoader downloads the data collection, the CONF and ACL files are
compared to the previously collected files’ date and size. Files that do not match the
previous version are marked with the red failure icon. The contents of the files may be
identical, but if the date has changed, then this file will be failed.
10.2 Products Configuration Display
After the collection has been loaded to the system
and the display is refreshed using Tools/Refresh
Tree, the XYGATE Products Configuration display
will be updated.
The green ruler icon indicates that the individual
XYGATE Product file is consistent with the previous
version. (Refer to section 2.2, “Treeview Ruler
Colors” on page 32.)
The red ruler indicates that there is an
inconsistency.
To see a side-by-side comparison of the two files,
right-click the filename and select View
Discrepancies. This will bring up a side-by-side
comparison as shown in the next section 10.3.
