11.9.1 The OSS Access Queries
OSS Access queries are uniquely more complex than Guardian or Safeguard as
access may be derived from a layering of directories and their security masks.
The available queries are:
Files by User
Files by Group
Directories by User
Directories by Group
OSS ACLs by User
OSS ACLs by Group
Access to Directories
Access to Files
Files by User Query
You may enter a specific user name. There will be one row per OSS file to which the
user has access, based on the files user security vector (rwx------). If the user is
granted access, then the file is returned.
All available userids on a system are shown in the drop-down list. The list shows both
the user name and user number. The userids are displayed in order by group name
and user name.
Files by Group Query
You may enter a specific group name. There will be one row per OSS file that the
group has access to based on the files security vector (---rwx---). If the group is
granted access, then the file is returned.
All available groups on a system are shown in the drop-down list. The list shows both
the group name and group number. The groups are displayed in order by group name.
Directories by User Query
You may enter a specific user name. There will be one row per OSS directory that the
user has access to based on the directorys security vector (rwx------). If the user is
granted access, then the file is returned.
All available userids on a system are shown in the drop-down list. The list shows both
the user name and user number. The userids are displayed in order by group name
and user name.
