Chapter 12. XSW Auditing and Audit Reporting
XYPRO Technology Corporation 210 Proprietary and Confidential
The default ENFORM temporary work file location is the vol.subvol from which
ENFORM is executed. This volume portion of the ENFORM temporary work file
location can be changed via assigns.
If the user does not have Create and Write access to the files in the product installation
location, then he or she can use one of the following:
• Set his or her TACL volume.subvolume to a location where the user does have
Create and Write access before running the report macro
• Add the following assign statements to the current TACL environment:
ASSIGN QUERY-WORK-AREA,<$VOL><product-installation-subvol>
ASSIGN QUERY-SORT-AREA,<$VOL><product-installation-subvol>
Example:
ASSIGN QUERY-SORT-AREA, $SEC
Where <$VOL> represents a volume where the user has Create and Write access
to the files.
• Use the XYGATE Report Manager (XRM) tool from a PC, which uses the XTR
work Subvol.
12.4.2 Generating Host Audit Reports using XSW_REPORT
To generate XSW audit reports, use the macro XSW_REPORT. The macro will display
a screen with all the criteria that you may choose to modify in order to limit the audit
records to be included in a report.
Syntax:
XSW_REPORT [-D]
The optional –D switch causes the entire ENFORM run to be displayed. Without the
switch, only the final summary lines are displayed.
Note: Without the –D option, only the summary of the ENFORM report will be shown
unless errors occur in the ENFORM run. If an error occurs, the entire ENFORM
run will be displayed. If –D is specified, the entire ENFORM run will be displayed
even if there are no errors.
Example:
$SYSTEM.SECURITY 2> XSW_REPORT
Choose an option:
A: Audit file :$SYSTEM.XYGATESW.AUDIT
