SECURITY RULE GROUP
A security rule group is a set of security rules/queries that can be grouped together
for a specific reason. An example might be a security rule group designed to fit the
needs of a specific user, such as the security administrator or the auditor, or security
rule group that fits a certain collection schedule, such as weekly. Security Rule Groups
are a way to organize rules in some user-defined categories.
SUBORDINATE COLLECTION
A subordinate collection is a collection for a specific host connection that is intended
to be merged with a primary collection. The subordinate collection shares the same
collection name as the primary, but will point to a different resource group on a
different NonStop server host than the primary collection.
SYSTEM POLICY CLASS
A system policy class is a set of policies with a common intent. As with Security Rule
Groups, System Policy Classes are simply a way to organize policies.
VALUE-BASED QUERY
A value-based query is one of the five types of Security Rules and Queries. A value-
based query compares the value of a specific characteristic to a desired value. An
example of a value-based query is one where all files owned by SUPER.SUPER that
have a RWEP vector of “NNNN” are displayed for all nodes represented in this
dataset. The other types of Rules/Queries are the comparative query, distinct
query, distinct comparison and orphan query.
