Chapter 1. Installing Compliance PRO (XSW)

Example:

$MYVOL ZXYPROSW 3> FUP PURGE $MYVOL.ZXYPROSW.* !

Duplicate the DSV to the new location.

If you know the location of the initial installation staging subvolume, overwrite that

using the PURGE option of FUP. This will ensure that the installed environments

are correctly upgraded to the most current product.

Syntax:

$MYVOL ZXYPROSW 3> FUP DUP [$VOL].ZXYPROSW.* EXCLUDE Z*,[$VOL].[NEWSVOL].*,PURGE,SAVEALL

Example:

$MYVOL ZXYPROSW 3> FUP DUP $DSCSCM.ZXYPROSW.* EXCLUDE Z*,$MYVOL.ZXYPROSW.*,PURGE,SAVEALL

4. You are now ready to start the automated installation script. Review the questions

you will be asked during this script and obtain any answers from your system

manager.

5. Obey the file IXYBIN to unpack executable files and prepare the files for the

automated install script.

Syntax:

$MYVOL ZXYPROSW 4> OBEY IXYBIN

Example:

$MYVOL ZXYPROSW 4> OBEY IXYBIN

1.4.1 Running the XTR AutoInstall Upgrade

Access to SUPER.SUPER (or an alias to SUPER.SUPER) will be required during the

upgrade to perform necessary licensing tasks in a separate TACL session. This

requirement will be indicated by the AutoInstall script and is also documented in this

procedure.

Note: The AutoInstall script waits on a prompt while the user starts a separate TACL

session when requested to perform specific actions. The user continues the

script after the action by responding to this prompt. However, if the user stops

the AutoInstall script for any reason, it must be restarted with the Run command

as shown below. This will continue the upgrade from the point of exit.

Start the IWIZARD script.
