XYPRO Technology Corporation 26 Proprietary and Confidential
1.5 Uninstalling XTR and XSW Using the Auto Uninstall Script
The Auto Uninstall script is designed for an easy removal of the XSW and XTR server
programs, and files. It should only be run if the IWIZARD was run to install or upgrade
the XSW and/or XTR environments and you want to completely remove the XSW and
XTR environments.
1.5.1 Preparing for the Auto Uninstall Script
The Auto Uninstall script will attempt to uninstall all modules that are running on the
server as follows:
Uninstall the XYGATESW installed product software.
Uninstall the XYGATETR installed product software.
Stop the LISTNER process for the connection of GUI products to XYGATETR.
1. Locate the installation subvolume where the XSW product AutoInstall script was
executed.
Syntax:
TACL> VOLUME [$NEWVOL].ZXYPROSW
Example:
TACL> VOLUME $MYVOL.ZXYPROSW
2.
If the UNIWIZ script does not exist, use the following command to unpack the
software and make the script accessible:
TACL> OBEY IXYBIN
3.
Start the UNIWIZ script with the parameter Y.
Example:
TACL> RUN UNIWIZ Y
The UNIWIZ script requires the parameter Y to perform the uninstall. This
parameter is designed to stop inadvertent use of this tool. The script will display the
locations specified for XTR and XSW installations from the last time the IWIZARD
auto-install tool was run; otherwise, it will prompt for the installation locations to be
uninstalled.
Important! All files in the displayed locations will be purged. The user will be
prompted to verify that this is correct and is responsible for verifying that this is
accurate before continuing. Failure to do so could result in the inadvertent purging
of files possibly belonging to a different product installation for which removal was
not intended.
