Updating Reporting Options

Each alternate report has several options associated with it as shown in the

screenshot below. These options are the same as the underlying policy options;

reference, description, notification, priority and auto-export, but can be setup differently

from the underlying policy.

Updating the Underlying Policy

The underlying policy will be updated by the associated collection that updates the

policy on the main XSW tree when the loader performs this function while loading a

dataset. A tree tab report does not contain separate data, but is linked to the

underlying policy. The loader will also update the tree tab report’s status details, and

perform the auto-exports and email if requested for both the underlying and the tree

tab report.

If the underlying policy is updated manually, the System Policy, Integrity Check, Best

Practice review windows and manual updates disabling, etc., are performed. The

associated tree tab report’s statuses will also be updated.
