If you want to use a specific collection for all queries, set that query name here;
otherwise, this field will record the name of the most recent collection. When you
first install the software and before you have loaded any data collections, this field
will be set to XSW Demo Collection.
When the treeview appears, only failed policies can be displayed or all policies can
be displayed. Select Failed Only or All according to your needs.
Policy items can be resolved by fixing the offending item’s characteristics or by
deleting the item from the system. When an item is resolved, you can keep the
record of the item, its tracking information and any notes you have entered, or you
can delete them. Select Delete or Keep according to your needs.
When you click Apply on a query or double-click the query name in the treeview,
the results of applying that query to a dataset are displayed. You can select the
dataset yourself by setting this value to Manual, or you can use the most recent
query by setting this value to Most Recent.
When a date comparison is made, it can occur between two dates in the data for
the query or policy, or it can occur between a date in the data and an external date.
An example of this would be a query that looks for passwords that expire within
30 days. If you select Current Date, such a query would be between the date in
the data and the current calendar date, regardless of when the data was collected.
If this value is set to Collection Date, the comparison would be between the date
in the data and the date on which the collection data was generated.
Select the Reporting and Exporting Preferences tab for the next set of options.
