Chapter 4. Common Screen Functions
Children windows have many common features and many features unique to their
special function. The common features are detailed below and not with each functional
screen.
4.1 The Grid Views
Most children windows display data, such as the results of a query, in a grid form as
shown below.
The grid functions are as follows:
The grid can be grouped by pulling a column header to the top gray area of the
grid. The grid will re-sort rows under the heading accordingly. To ungroup, pull the
column back into the column headers.
Click a column header to sort in ascending or descending order as indicated by the
arrow on the column header. Clicking a column header also selects that column.
Click the plus (+) symbol to expand a group and the minus (–) symbol to collapse a
group. Selecting the collapsed (+) or expanded (–) grouped line effectively selects
all rows under that grouping in the grid.
Note: The + or – symbols will be hidden if the line BP_Entity: Guardian Files is
selected (highlighted). Clicking on any other line will reveal the symbol.
