4.8  The Properties Window 
The Properties window provides high-level information about an entity, collection, 
policy, etc., as a pop-up screen. 
4.9  The GUI Environment 
The GUI environment has four executable components and three distinct database 
locations. The executable components are, by default, installed to: 
C:\Program Files\XYPRO\XYGATESW 
–or– 
For MS Windows Vista, Windows 2008, and Windows 7 naming conventions: 
C:\Program Files (x86)\XYPRO\XYGATESW  
The four executable programs are the following: 
•  xygatesw.exe - the main GUI component  
•  xswLoadersw.exe - the console application loader component 
•  xswServicesw.exe - the XSW Service Process 
•  xswHelper.exe - the XSW helper process to install the Service Process. 
The GUI database locations are as follows: 
1.  User preferences database - distinct database to each user location in: 
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\XYPRO\ 
XYGATESW\XSW_CPF (For MS Windows XP and earlier versions) 
–or– 
For MS Windows Vista, Windows 2008, and Windows 7 naming conventions: 
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\XYPRO\XYGATESW\XSW_cpf 
2.  System policy database - optionally distinct or shared database to store system 
policy information as pointed to by the following registry entry: 
HKEY_CURRENT_USER.SOFTWARE.XYPRO.XYGATESW xyDBloc2 
However, the System Policy Database for MS Windows XP and earlier versions: 
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\XYPRO\ 
XYGATESW\XSW_cfg 
–or– 
For MS Windows Vista, Windows 2008, and Windows 7 naming conventions: 
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\XYPRO\XYGATESW\XSW_cfg
