Chapter 4. Generating Reports Using
XRM
The XYGATE Audit Report Manager (XRM) is a graphical user interface (GUI) tool for
running host-based XYGATE report macros, including the Safeguard Reports product.
This chapter describes only the procedures for generating reports from the XMA
database. The complete reference for the XRM product is described in the XYGATE
Configuration and Audit Reporting manual. (To get this and other XYPRO documents,
refer to the sectionAdditional XYPRO Reference Manuals” in this manual.)
The XMA_REPORT macro produces reports using the SQLCI Query and Report
Writer functions. If you are not licensed for SQLCI in your installation, then these
macros will not be available to you.
4.1 Generating Audit Reports Using XMA_REPORT
The macro XMA_REPORT generates XMA audit reports from a TACL session. The
Report Selection screen shown on the next page displays all the criteria that you can
modify in order to limit what audit records will be included in a report.
To change the criteria, enter the letter representing the item you wish to change. Once
you have made all the selections you wish, select either Z or ZP to generate the report.
as follows:
Z Generates the report and returns you to a TACL prompt.
ZP Generates the report and opens PERUSE. When you exit PERUSE, the Report
Selection Screen reappears with your previous entries still in place. You can modify
them if you wish and generate another report.
Syntax:
XMA_REPORT [-D]
Note: If an error occurs during the SQLCI run generated by this macro, the entire
contents of the macro including the error indicators will be displayed.
If you want to force the display of the SQLCI run even though there are no errors, use
the D option with the macro to force the display.
Example:
$SYSTEM XYGATEMA 5> xma_report
