XYPRO Technology Corporation 88 Proprietary and Confidential
4.5 Select by Subject Login Name(s)
The LOGIN NAME is either the HP NonStop group name.user name, or the Safeguard
alias of the person performing the activity and accesses contained in the report. The
default is the asterisk ( * ) to include all Login Names.
Note: Login Names are case sensitive; you must use uppercase letters unless the
object name you are searching for is an alias containing lowercase characters.
You can limit a report to one or more specific User by entering the login name(s) in a
comma-separated list.
Note: There must not be any spaces before or after the comma.
Example 1 finds all audit entries with the Login Name XYPRO.TARRANZ.
Example 1: XYPRO.TARRANZ
Example 2 finds all audit entries with the Login Name XYPRO.TARRANZ and the alias
tlh.
Example 2: XYPRO.TARRANZ,tlh
You may also exclude a specific User by using NOT statements. The NOT statement
must follow the initial Login Name selection. For example, if you want to report on the
activities of all XYPRO User except XYPRO.LYLE, you would enter:
XYPRO. NOT XYPRO.LYLE.
You may exclude multiple Users by entering the Login Names separated by commas.
Example 3 finds all audit entries for User in the XYPRO group except XYPRO.TARRANZ.
Example 3: XYPRO. not XYPRO.TARRANZ
Example 4 finds all audit entries for User in the XYPRO group except XYPRO.TARRANZ
and the alias tlh.
Example 4: XYPRO. not XYPRO.TARRANZ,tlh
You may also use the following “wildcarding” conventions:
If you put an asterisk ( * ) in front of a string representing a login name, XMA will
include any Login Names containing the string you have entered in the report.
If you put an asterisk ( * ) at end of a string representing a login name as shown in
all the examples above, XMA will include any Login Names that begin with the
string you have entered in the report.
If you enter a string without either a leading or trailing asterisk ( * ) as shown in the
NOT Statements of Examples 3 and 4 above, then XMA will only include login
names that exactly match the string you have entered.
To select Login Name(s) to include in the report, select D.
