Chapter 5. Using XMA_MANAGER
XMA_MANAGER is the NonStop host-based user interface to manage the XMA
subsystem. Using this menu driven interface, a user can perform the following tasks:
Configure the pathway and its components.
Monitor and manage the pathway and its components, including MOVERs
(Serverclasses).
Manage Database Archiving and Cleanup.
5.1 Introduction
Before you can run XMA_MANAGER, you must attach the XMA TACL segment to
your current TACL session. Anyone who will be performing maintenance on the XMA
environment on a regular basis should add the line below to their TACLCSTM.
Syntax
RUN $<VOL.SUBVOL>.XMA INSTALL
Where <VOL.SUBVOL> is the location of the XMA installation on the NonStop server
where the pathway is running.
Note: You will always do your configuration work and run reports on the node (referred
to as the Pathway Node or Master Node) where the pathway is running.
5.2 The XYGATEMA Management Main Menu
At the TACL prompt, enter the following command to run the XMA_MANAGER macro.
25> XMA_MANAGER
This will load the various macros and the defines for your XMA database, and then
display the XYGATEMA Management Main Menu shown below.
