Chapter 5. Using XMA_MANAGER

Option Selection Description
12: Alter Database params Use this option to add, change or delete
parameters within the appropriate parameter table
for a single MOVER Serverclass.
When you change database-related parameters for
a MOVER Serverclass, you will be prompted to
stop and restart the Serverclass so that the
changes can take effect.
13: Alter Pathway params Use this option to add, change or delete the
Pathway-related parameters for a single MOVER
Serverclass.
14: Delete Delete a MOVER Serverclass from the Pathway.
When this function is used, the DELETED column
in the row for the corresponding deleted MOVER
Serverclass will be set to ‘Y’ in the appropriate
MOVER Table.
You can also choose to completely delete a
MOVER. In that case, all reference to the MOVER
is removed from the MOVER table.
15: Synchronize object files Ensures that the object files on the remote nodes
match the versions on the pathway node.
Selecting (O)utdated will update all out-of-date
program objects by copying the program objects
from the master node to the remote node. The
updated program objects will then be
re-sqlcompiled.
Selecting (A)ll will synchronize all nodes by copying
all the program objects from the master node to the
appropriate remote nodes. All object modules will
be re-sqlcompiled even if they are not out of date.
Note: The SRLIB object file will not be re-licensed
after it is copied to the remote nodes. To license
the object files on the remote nodes, you must run
the REMFIN macro.
16: Test basic Alerts Use this option to test the configuration of your
EMAIL, IP, EMS, and SNMPTRAP ACTIONS in
your Filters. For more information regarding
configuring and testing alerts, refer to section 3.3.6
starting on page 54.
For information regarding Mail Server addresses or
DNS names, TCP/IP process names and SYSLOG
console addresses, consult your system
administrator.
