XYPRO Technology Corporation 105 Proprietary and Confidential
Menu Item Description
1: Update Statistics Use this option to initiate the SQL update statistics
function for selected SQL tables within the XMA
database. Periodically performing this function
improves the performance of SQL queries. The
pathway must be stopped before you can Update
Statistics. For more information, refer to section 8.2
on page 151 of this chapter.
2: Percent full for Database
Tables
Use this option to identify which SQL tables are
larger than the specified threshold percent.
3: Cleanup Database Use this option to delete rows from the AUDIT
SESSION and AUDIT DETAIL tables. There are two
options:
1) To delete rows in a specified date range
2) To completely purge the data from the AUDIT
SESSION and AUDIT DETAIL tables.
Refer to section 8.1, Remove Obsolete Recordson
page 145 for more information.
Note: The Cleanup process does not archive the
deleted data. If you wish to archive the deleted data,
you must use the Archive process instead.
4: Auto cleanup setup Designate the cleanup parameters.
5: List Archive tasks Provides a list of all archive sets.
6: Start an Archive task Use this option to start an archive manually by
setting the start time, end time, archive location, and
an optional description for the new archive.
7: Restart a stopped Archive task Use this option to restart one or all archive
processes that stopped previously.
8: Archive task Status Use this option to check the status of an archive
process.
9: Stop an Archive task Use this option to stop a running archive process.
10: Delete an archive by Archive ID Use this option to delete an obsolete archive. You
must know the Archive ID, which can be obtained
using option 4.
11: Delete an archive by archive
end dates
Use this option to delete obsolete archives by the
date of the archive rather than the Archive ID.
When you select this option, you will be presented
with a submenu. The date presented is the End Date
and Time of the oldest Archive. Deletions are based
on the ending date of the archive data (not the
creation date of the ARCHIVE). Therefore, to delete
all archives older than Sept 14, 2007, for example,
enter 2007-09-14.
12: Control auditing of
detail/session tables
Use this option to control whether or not TMF will
audit archive the AUDIT SESSION and AUDIT
DETAIL tables.
13: Resend Syslog Messages Use to resend SYSLOG messages generated in a
provided time window.
