Chapter 6. Configuring MOVERs
XYPRO Technology Corporation 120 Proprietary and Confidential
6.4.1 House Keeping Server (HKEEPER)
The House Keeping Server, HKEEPER and SYSLOG Send Server are automatically
started when the pathway is started.
The Serverclass named HKEEPER is responsible for waking up the Collect-Only
MOVERs and shutting them down at the end of the Collection Window. This
Serverclass is created automatically and is automatically started by the Pathway.
The HKEEPER also starts the database cleanup.
6.4.2 Mail Queue Server (MQREADER)
The Mail Queue Server (MQREADER) supports the mail alerts that can be issued from
XMA. If a mail alert cannot be promptly delivered, the message will be placed in a mail
queue. The MQREADER will read the queue and attempt to resend the message.
The MQREADER Serverclass will automatically be added to the XMA Pathway for
both new installs and upgrades from versions of XMA. It will also be automatically
started when the Pathway is started via XMA_MANAGER.
Note: If the MQREADER parameters are not configured, the MQREADER will not run.
