Option Selection Description
4: Max Wait for Socket to Close This parameter tells the program how long to wait
on a close request before marking the connection
closed.
The default is 120 seconds.
5: Max Wait for Socket to Connect This parameter tells the program how long to wait
to connect.
The default is 180 seconds.
6: Max Number of Messages in a
Connection Queue
The default is 10 messages.
7: Max Number of Open Transactions The default is 100 transactions.
8: Max Number of Pending IO Calls The default is 10 IOs.
9: Max Wait for Send to Complete The amount of time the program will wait before
changing the status of a connection to TIMED-
OUT if a SEND request does not complete.
The default is 300 seconds.
10: Time to process messages before
refreshing
The program will refresh and restart reading at the
beginning of the send queue to make sure no
records were left unsent.
The default is 300 seconds.
11: Delay When Queue is empty The amount of time the program will sleep when
the SYSLOGQ has finished processing all the
available messages.
The default is 30 seconds.
12: Delay before sending a warning if
unable to send
If messages are not able to be sent to the desired
destination, the program generates EMS warnings
to that effect. This parameter controls the
frequency of those messages.
The default is 900 seconds.
13: TCP Process Name The TCP/IP process name that the SLSENDER
server will use along with the IP address and Port
specified in the FILTERS file.
X: Exit Exit to The Movers Management Menu.
R: Run Update the SLSENDER database.
6.4.4 The IP Address Resolver (IPRESLVR)
The Safeguard MOVER uses the terminal ID contained in the Safeguard audit records
to try to determine the IP address associated with the record it is processing. If the
Safeguard MOVER cannot resolve the IP address, a record is placed in the
IPRESLVR queue file. This table is named SESSNOIP. The IPRESLVR reads the
queue and using the terminal ID attempts to find records in the Audit Detail table with
the same terminal ID. If a match is found, the IP address from the XYGATE product
record is moved into the Audit Session record for the appropriate Safeguard record.
