Chapter 6. Configuring MOVERs
XYPRO Technology Corporation 130 Proprietary and Confidential
BACKLOGAGE <seconds>
The BACKLOGAGE keyword is used in conjunction with the MAXCPUBUSYPCT
value. These two keywords help ensure that XMA does not interfere with production
processing during times of peak activity each MOVER Serverclass will examine CPU
activity and ‘throttle down’ for short periods of time if necessary. If the CPU Usage is
greater than or equal to the percentage specified in MAXCPUBUSYPCT and the audit
records being processed are older than the number of seconds specified by the
MOVERs BACKLOGAGE, the MOVER will sleep for a random interval of 1 to
3 seconds. The interval is chosen at random so that all the MOVER Serverclasses do
notwake-upat the same time.
The Default Value is 0.
BACKUPFILE <filename> (Required)
The BACKUPFILE parameter is required for MEASURE MOVERs. The fully qualified
filename, including node, designates the location of the backup file.
BEGINLCTTIME <yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:00.000000|-1>
This specifies at what point the extraction from the product audit files should begin.
Alternately, by using a value of 1, you can specify that the extraction process begins
with the oldest audit file found.
The default value is 1.
BLOCKALERTS {TRUE|FALSE}
This parameter is used to specify whether ALERTS should be blocked for this specific
MOVER Serverclass.
The default is FALSE.
Note: If you wish to temporarily block ALERTS for all MOVER Serverclasses, you can
use the GLOBALBLOCKALERTS keyword in the FILTERS file. Refer to
Tracking Your Alerts” on page 68 in Chapter 3 for more information.
DELETEPROCESSEDAUDITS {TRUE|FALSE}
This parameter gives the product MOVER directions as to whether or not it should
purge the XYGATE product’s audit file, once information has been moved to XMA. A
file will not be deleted if:
the file in question is the active audit file,
the file has not been processed from top to bottom. This circumstance occurs
when the BEGINLCTTIME has been set in such a way that only part of the file was
extracted, and
the data was extracted from the file prior to DELETEPROCESSEDAUDITS being
set to true.
The default value for this parameter is FALSE.
