• A flexible filtering mechanism allows you to watch for events you specify and take
ACTION as soon as the specified event is detected. These ACTIONS include
sending ALERTS to EMS, SYSLOG, via email, using the SMTP or performing
custom processing you provide.
• A filtering mechanism that allows you to selectively extract only those activities
most pertinent to you.
• Custom report writing capabilities.
• Provide a range of pre-formatted reports allowing you to select report content, level
of detail and sort order with “check this box” simplicity.
• Easy to use for auditors and security administrators with little or no HP NonStop
server technical expertise.
XMA Components
XMA consists of a set of Pathway Serverclasses, which are referred to as MOVERs. A
MOVER must be configured for each application on each node from which data will be
collected. The XMA_MANAGER described in Chapter 5 is provided to help you
streamline the configuration and maintenance processes.
