9.1.1 XYMOVE Functions
The program XYMOVE extracts information from the XYGATE product audit trails. The
program XYMOVE can also be run with two options:
CHECKFILTERS performs a syntax check on the FILTERS file.
XYGATEVER generates a list of supported XYGATE product versions.
9.1.2 CHECKFILTERS XYMOVE Option
This function performs a syntax check of your FILTERS file.
Syntax:
RUN $<vol>.<subvol>.XYMOVE CHECKFILTERS <FILTERs file name>
Where $<vol>. <subvol> is the location of your XMA installation.
You can specify a filename so you have to create a temporary version of your
FILTERS file with an alternative name to review prior to moving it into production.
Note: All Filter Definitions including those with a STATUS of INACTIVE will be
checked for syntax error.
Example: Sample output from CHECKFILTERS:
>RUN XYMOVE CHECKFILTERS tempfilt
XMA 1.71 (c) 1999-2010 XYPRO XYPRO \PROD1 20011231
FILTERS CHECKSUM 1141462806
No syntax errors found
For a more information about Filters syntax checking, refer to Appendix E13:
XMA_FILTERS_CHECK” on page 216.
